With a double insulated steel fireproof box, fiberglass and steel wool filter to filter the smoke and soot combine these and you control the intense heat and arrest the flames. Not only is the Bat-Safe box perfect for storing and transporting your LiPo batteries safety it's charging your batteries that make this battery box stand out from the others. Install the connecting wires from the charger to the battery via the insulated fire collar, clip the easy to use latch and your battery is safe to charge with the piece of mind that your LiPo battery inside the Bat-Safe can never cause a fire when charging. Peace of mind following concerning battery incident.

After a scary incident with a lithium battery in full thermal runaway, I searched online for a fireproof box. I decided on Bat-Safe because of its specifications and reviews. I initially bought a medium-sized box and have subsequently ordered two small-sized boxes. I had a couple of questions and emailed the company, and promptly received a phone call from a very helpful person who not only answered my questions but also provided additional information about battery safety and vulnerabilities.

After waiting for several months I finally got it and can’t be happier! The box looks sturdy, the materials feel good and I hope it can keep my apartment safe if a disaster happens.

I have to say that the delivery was pretty quick, thank you guys!

Does the job, with a few issues

Does the job, weird that it looks like it is made from a metal lunch box with added metal and insulation, but if it works, I guess.

The one issue I had with it was that the hook that holds the loop for the lid catch was too tight and I couldn't easily get the catch open, cut myself on the catch spring trying (the catch spring sticks out about a millimetre for some reason, and is thin with a sharp end). I ended up bending the hook open a little, but the hook is a lot stronger than the box metal so you end up deforming the box metal somewhat, that then needs to be bent back straight.

Overall it's a good box for battery safety, but they need to fix these quality control issues.

Crazy not to be charging without one

This is my second Bat Safe box and the protection it offers is worth the money, I know of people who have had house and vehicle fires during charging six it's cheap insurance.
However, if a large battery did let go I wonder if it would contain the fire?
